When I was deciding what to put on this page, I was trying to think of something that those who know me wouldn't be too bored with or think it was too corny and those who don't know me think this guys a certified goofball. Have you ever tried to write something about yourself that talks a little bit about you and your family but not give out to much information that someone thinks "My gosh - that's to personal to share with the whole world wide web!" Well, try it, unless your good at bragging, it's kind of hard. Anyway, here is a little about The Steigerwalds....  My name is Brian. I'm originally from Columbus, Ohio - Land of the Buckeyes! I moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 1991. I came out here because when I graduated from DeVry University (formally DeVry Institute of Technology), I was recruited by an electronics firm out here. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology. I stayed out here because I met a wonderful person (on an airplane - that's another story) and we became best friends and got married! I now work for an internationally known company doing direct digital controls work for commercial buildings. In my free time I like to play with computers and electronics. I also like hanging out with family! This is Julie. She was raised in Pipestone, Minnesota but hung out in Sioux Falls a lot as a kid. She went to school in Austin, MN and has a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant degree. She is real good with working with the geriatric community, which is what she does now. Her hobbies are to shop, browse, buy and purchase! As expensed as that may sound, she really knows how to find the deals! She also likes going on walks and hanging out as a family.  This is Amber. She is what Julie and I live for! She was born June of 2001 and has got to be one of the coolest kids in the world! She is like any other growing toddler, wanting to run the show and have her way. It's difficult to parent in a way that won't spoil her, but we're trying. (See our Favorite Link section for parenting advise). Who do you think she looks like?   Lilly is on the left and Boomer is on the right. They are both tiger cats. We got Boomer just after we got married in 94 and Lilly in 95. You see Boomer was eating some of our (mostly Julies) wool cloths, so we figured that maybe she was bored and just needed a play buddy and got Lilly. Nope - She just like to eat wool! So if you ever come to visit, keep your wool products even if its 1% out of Boomers reach. Lilly actually runs the roost. We were a little concerned when Amber came along on how they would do, but it's really amazing how cats just know not to mess with a little person.since 09-12-02 |
